Introduction to the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering

The Institute of Geotechnical Engineering is one of the research institutions with distinctive research characteristics in the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Henan University. It currently has 6 staff, including 2 professors, 4 associate professors, 1 first-level registered structural engineer, and registered civil (geotechnical) engineer 4 of them, 5 of them have PhD degrees. Undertook the teaching work of multiple professional courses for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in civil engineering of the college, mainly engaged in composite foundation and pile foundation, deep foundation pit support, rock and soil deformation characteristics and control technology, soil and structure interaction, soil microstructure and Research on constitutive relations and other aspects. In recent years, he has undertaken and completed a number of national and provincial scientific research projects, published more than 100 academic papers included in SCI and EI, won a number of provincial and ministerial teaching and scientific and technological progress awards, obtained or applied for more than 10 patents; for active satisfaction With the urgent needs of local engineering construction, a number of horizontal scientific research projects have been carried out in cooperation with construction and construction units, which have played an important role in solving regional geotechnical and underground engineering problems, with significant economic and social benefits. At present, an innovative scientific research team with strong scientific research ability, high academic level, reasonable structure and stable direction has been formed.
